I hate liars, don't you?

Yeah, I suppose, on some level we're all liars. Chronic. We lie to ourselves about how good we do or don't look. We lie to ourselves about what kind of person we are. We tell "little white lies," we make promises we never intend to keep, and so on.

But what about when someone pretends to be someone they're not? Hell, most people do that here, on the internet, all the time, right?

What if that someone pretends to be military, and talks about all the missions they've gone on, and how the world is? When they're not, haven't, and have no idea?

What if they use those stories for their own personal gain? Like to get people to sponsor them memberships & whatnot?

I dunno - I'm ex-military, and I find that pretty damned despicable.

Now, I'm no "war hero," or anything like that. I'm just this guy. But I have many friends & faimly members who are serving right now. A couple of pretty good friends and a relative or two are making trips to "the sandbox."

Those guys walk into this crap, *KNOWING* that it could be bad. Hell, that it *WILL* be bad (even if things're getting better, IMHO).

So, I'm calling out someone here on DeviantArt.

Is a liar.

He is not military, and he is using other people's pictures to support his lies.

In fact, one of the pictures he is using is of an acquaintence of mine. He took the image from another site, and is using it here, telling people that it is him.

If I could, I'd punch him in the face. Of course, he would probably just write up a story and post a picture about he "got wounded in theater"

Why do people do shit like this? I swear, it takes away from the sacrifice of our troops (again, IMHO). We have people willingly going over and putting themselves in harms way to support the policies of our country, and this little coward does crap like this, and then says shit that may damage our worldwide image, too?

Now, I wouldn't tell you to go do bad things to him, but if you believe that he is doing wrong, would you please stop by and tell him so? Maybe he will get the message and change his ways.

Or not.

But that's his choice, I suppose.
